Lessons learned from two of the world’s largest technology platforms – Google and Uber – are part of the Proptech Association Australia’s main agenda at the Proptech Forum to be held in Sydney on October 13.
Forum keynote speaker, Tech Council of Australia director Mina Radhakrishnan, will reflect on lessons from Silicon Valley and share how she’s using these to disrupt Australian property management.
A co-founder of :Different, Mina’s years of experience include joining Uber in 2011 as the first head of product and the company’s 20th employee.
“Mina led a number of diverse initiatives at Uber, including international expansion, helping to scale the product team to 20 staff, hundreds of cities and millions of customers,” said Kylie Davis, president of the Proptech Association.
“She has also been a powerhouse operator at Google, working in the Associate Product Manager program and building products at scale in the engineering productivity, digital advertising and desktop/toolbar teams.
“Mina is a champion of proptech startups, using her experience to help both large and small businesses examine and develop their own growth strategies.”
Kylie said the Proptech Forum would explore the theme, Disrupting the Disruptors, with guest speakers discussing the technology, market trends and issues that would impact how the industry conceived, developed, promoted and scaled proptech solutions.
“This is a full-day event designed by proptechs, for proptechs so that we can unpack some of the big issues affecting our industry collectively and start discussions that will fundamentally affect the direction of the industry,” she said.
“If you’ve ever wanted to meet the proptechs playing in your space, this is the place to be.”
The Proptech Forum will be held on October 13 at the NSW Teachers Federation Conference Centre, Surry Hills, Sydney from 8.30am to 5pm. Tickets are just $295 including GST for members or $395 for non members. Group discounts are also available.
