New member Facilio wins prestigious award

Facilio – a new member of Proptech Association Australia – has won the 2021 Best Practices Product Leadership award presented by global technology research firm Frost & Sullivan.

The software company’s strong business growth in the past 18 months, together with its innovation in the property operations space, were critical factors in the win.

Software capable of managing multiple buildings while covering essential processes and automated systems was a “huge differentiator” from alternative applications, said Dennis Marcell Victor, an energy & environment analyst at Frost & Sullivan.

He said he was impressed with how Facilio’s software unified buildings operations data as “a single pane of glass software, and in real-time”.

New York-based Facilio, which has Asia-Pacific offices in Sydney and Singapore, has reported 5X business growth in the past 18 months.

Its platform is designed so commercial real estate managers can aggregate building data to control building operations across their portfolio. Facilio’s target markets include commercial offices and facilities for healthcare, higher education and retail.

Its AI-driven CMMS software (computerised maintenance management system) has already taken out a 2021 Software of the Year award presented by Construction Business News in the Middle East. It was a finalist in the Australian Urban Developer Awards.

Europe’s Proptech Academy has certified it with a “Proptech Innovation Label”, and Software World ranks Facilio among the world’s top 20 CMMS solutions.

Analyst Mr Marcell Victor added: “In a space dominated by hardware-centric incumbents, Facilio employs a differentiated software platform approach to address the challenges prevalent in the traditionally siloed and fragmented building operations market.”

Facilio founder and chief executive Prabhu Ramachandran was delighted with the award, saying it recognised “our key role in helping define the market with advanced product innovation that improves building performance, increases productivity, and optimises cost”.
